Firstline is proud to support the NYC Health Department in an initiative to improve access to citywide antibiogram data and deliver outpatient guidance to all providers in New York.
Creating a snapshot of antimicrobial resistance across the city, the NYC Health Department and Firstline have amalgamated data from participating NYC institutions to create a citywide and borough-specific resource that is freely accessible via Firstline to all providers.
The NYC Health Department has developed prescribing guidance for common outpatient infections, including sexually transmitted infections (STI), informed by locally relevant and actionable epidemiological data derived from the citywide antibiogram. This strategic approach ensures that the antibiogram data is useful and relevant for all healthcare providers in New York City, so the entire healthcare community can benefit from the collaborative effort and data shared by participating hospitals.
Providers can access the NYC Health Department’s health alerts and advisories on Firstline. These communications contain up-to-date information and clinical guidance about urgent or timely public health topics, such as infectious disease outbreaks or environmental contaminants.
